Biomass pellets for alternative energy supply

Fuel pellets can be produced from a wide variety of biomass. A limiting factor here is the economic efficiency, as the biomass pellet competes with the wood chips or the wood pellet. Straw, miscanthus and biogenic waste materials, e.g. from landscape conservation, are the most frequently used biomass here. For the combustion of the pellets there are numerous compact heating systems that can be operated with different biomass.

Bedding pellets:

Extremely absorbent, odourless and without chemical additives. Pellets are dust free and therefore also suitable for sensitive or sick animals and due to the high pressing temperature free of bacteria and fungi. Easy handling, simple disposal as compost or fertilizer or substrate for biogas plants, no disposal costs.

Feed pellets:

The farmer can produce high-quality, storable animal feed by pelletizing his own raw materials. The MPA 1000 can mix a wide variety of raw materials such as hay, straw, alfalfa, cereals and then process them into a special feed pellet.

Biomass pellets from waste products:

Many harvesting and processing processes generate waste that has not been further processed for various reasons. Pellets can be produced from husks, peel bran, grain plaster, fermentation residues, horse manure or chicken manure, which can be used as fertilizer or fuel.

  • Container dimensions comply with ISO standard
  • Transportation possible on any container chassis
  • Pelletization with a high-quality annular die press with central lubrication
  • Fully automatic handling of the whole plant by means of a Siemens Programmable Logic Controller (PLC)
  • Permanent supervision of temperatures, fill heights, power consumption, etc.
  • Touch-screen display showing the operating states
  • Remote maintenance of the plant at any place
  • Fabrication of pellets out of almost every sort of stalk material
  • Any desired mixture possible
  • Autarchic by use of a powerful diesel generator
  • 200 kW, 325 kVA, 360 kWA waste heat*
  • Variable fineness of grinding, sizes and hardness
  • The whole plant is made in Germany

* waste heat usable via heat exchanger (MPA 1000+)

Advantages of stalks

  • No or only minor changes to the landscape pictures
  • machines for the salvage of stalks are ubiquitous
  • stalks are available every year
  • Straw in particular is only a by-product of harvesting
  • Sustainability and economic efficiency are supported

Advantages of compacting

  • Compaction from bale to pellet about 1:5
  • less transport effort
  • significantly reduced transport costs
  • less space required for storage
  • low residual moisture
  • higher energy density
  • significantly higher suction power of up to 400
  • abacterial, hygienic pellets (approx. 100 °C pressing temperature)

Advantages of mobility

  • easy transport of the system without major conversion work
  • pick-up via standard chassis, transport via truck or dolly axle and tractor
  • flexible location due to compact container design
  • independent of regional raw material prices
  • the system can be used both decentralized and stationary
